Starlight has given so much to me and my children. We want to give back, by supporting and volunteering, to create more Venues’ for Starlight’s unbelievably talented Performers! Starlight is more than just a Community Theater…Starlight is part of our family!

About Starlight Community Theater:

When Pat Bennett told Mark Oesterleone, "Let's start a theater" she had no idea what they were in for. All they knew was that they wanted an outlet for kids to act, sing and learn about acting, and an outlet for the adults to act in as well. Then came Barbara Surloff and her XX years and teaching drama in the Deer Valley School district. Once these 3 heads came together, something akin to the big bang happened...and Starlight Community Theater was born.

Now 6 years later, Starlight is still going strong. Performing 6 to 7 times a year with Adults shows, Kid shows, and shows for the entire family.

Join us won't you. It takes a community to make a Community Theater; and our community is growing leaps and bounds everyday. Welcome to Starlight Community Theater.

Starlight Community Theater is always looking for talented members to serve on the Board of Directors. The Board values different backgrounds and perspectives to represent members. Any member in good standing is eligible to run for a three-year term.

The role of the Board of Directors

As representatives of the membership of Starlight Community Theater, the Board Members review the financial condition, make decisions on the direction and set the vision for the future of Starlight. Board Members must be able to attend a monthly board meeting and also serve on committees. Generally, Board Members will need to dedicate about six hours a month to Starlight business, possibly more during large performance months.
