Michelle Ribadeneira
President of The Board
pres@starlightcommunitytheater.org

A theater lifer, Michelle has accomplished much on the stage. Now she works even harder behind the scenes as Starlight's president. Her passion for Starlight is the fire that drives her to jump right in and do anything from building sets to websites.

Born an Air Force brat, Michelle grew up all over. She was the only one in her family who was bitten by the acting bug, causing her parents to wonder if they brought the right kid home. Since she looked too much like them, they kept her. Adding two younger brothers along the way, they traveled state to state while dad finished his service and college, Michelle singing all the way. It was not until she was 7 or 8, that Michelle actually stayed longer than 2 years in one place. That one place was Kansas, but it was home.

College brought her to Arizona (Go Lumberjacks!) and she did eventually find home again in Starlight. Michelle especially connects with the kids of Starlight. One of her greatest joys is helping them to blossom into actors, and then watching them head off to college, self confident in their new life.

Michelle has three goals during her tenure as President. 1.To increase membership. 2. To increase Starlight's exposure in the Valley and 3. To find Starlight a permanent home (it WILL happen!). She invites everyone to help/volunteer and if you re not sure what you can do, ask her! Michelle will find something you will LOVE doing.

Michelle lives with her husband, Todd, (Starlight's own Go-to Guy) their 3 kids, as well as her Mother in Law, Mary, 4 dogs and 1 horse north
of Anthem in New River. She is fairly certain that she is not in Kansas anymore.

Gayla Lindsey
Graphic Design
design@starlightcommunitytheater.org

Gayla Lindsay never lost her love for the stage, having performed since the age of 5.  In the early years, Gayla sang with her Dad's country band, then continued to seek stage opportunities throughout high school and at her alma mater, Oklahoma Christian University.

After moving to Anthem and discovering Starlight Community Theater, she encouraged her family to become involved in stage productions.   Gayla, her husband, John, and their three daughters all love the spotlight and have been active in various performances with Starlight.

"It's just a passion our family enjoys together.  The stage draws us in!"  Gayla says.

Besides using her acting and vocal chops for outstanding performances, Gayla uses her design talents to create Starlight's programs and posters.

Gayla is also active in ProMusica in Anthem and she coordinated and directed Anthem's first Living Nativity Christmas 2009.

Gayla, John, and their girls, continue to support the mission and artistic outlet that Starlight Community Theater offers kids, teens and adults of all ages!
